That's because you're a Doomer and you're convinced you'll survive. Survival is 25% planning, 25% attitude, and 50% luck. Good luck to you. You'll need it.

I think it's 99% planning/preperation. Take Bill Gates for instance, he has a house built into a natural hillside and powered by it's own solar panels. Anyone could survive through the collapse of society there.

His house is on the Sound, an area with millions of years of history of horrific earthquakes and mega-tsunami. Its also near a bunch of active volcanoes. Piss-poor planning for survival
