I rarely do videogames any more. But for some reason yesterday I started playing This War of Mine from 11 bit Studios. It's a simulation where you control a group of refugees trapped in a war torn city. They are constantly hungry and tired. They get injured and sick. This is why I'm not playing games like "This War Of Mine". I know how horrible the choices people have to make are. I don't need to feel them close-up.

Because of your post, I had to check out this game. Normally, I don't like side-scrollers, but this one looked amazing. Maybe a little too difficult, emotionally speaking, to buy, but still...

In some ways it reminded me of The Last of Us, which is a zombie game of sorts, but highly plausible. The zombies are fungus infected people, but the worst people in that game are other survivors and the decisions you have to make when dealing with them are off the charts. Almost too depressing to be considered a game. It's bad when they have to throw plant people in to lighten the mood.

I'd love to try The Last of Us, but don't own a system that runs it. It looks cool...
