Look at me reading. What a guy! I have books up to my eyeballs at the moment, and some of them seem set to fill my heart with delight. I'm particularly looking forward to Prentice and Weil's Devil's Blood. Yes, the cover. Yes, the title. But mainly because the first book was such a blast. That one's out only today, by the way! But I'd advise

I have written down Devil's Blood, per your recommendation. I am saving the money up to get Sharp Ends.
Abercrombie is always a conundrum for me. I can count the number of characters that I actually like on half of the fingers of my left hand, because he insists on everyone being horrible at some point. But he does violence and fight scenes so damn well.

Devil's Blood is a sequel -- I'd strongly advise reading Black Arts first :)
