Well, yet another of these. Move on! Move on!

READING

I'm currently enjoying Morrissey's Autobiography. I'm listening to it as an audiobook, and it's... beautiful. No other word for it. Also, it's great to see where all those songs came from. Definitely one for the fans, of which I am one.

Chris Moriarty's Spin State is a marvellous hard SF/ ( Read more... )

Nay, Sirrah! A hard-won disaster. You have only a limited count of them to learn from!

Sounds like all is quite well in Peadar land (except for possibly the kitchen). Excellent! I usually create one giant disaster in the kitchen every month or so. All of the other meals are fine -- but there's always one that leaves me hanging my head in shame.

As long as your head isn't hanging in shame above the toilet, I count that as a win!

I lost a lot (LOT!!) of respect for Morrisey when he commented on the Breivik massacre. Probably because 22 July is still a very fresh wound for us.

I love Sherlock. I'm absolutely wild and crazy for it. *Nuff said.

I'm kind of on the fence about reading Morrissey's autobio. I'm not a superfan, just think he's an interesting person. I saw him concert in '92 or '93. Maybe i'll give it a try.

I think it's pretty lovely and would definitely be worth your time.

If you are ten percent into the book, haven't you usually decided before that point to either finish it or pitch it against a wall for the lost life you will never get back?
I enjoy Sherlock, but I find individual snippets of dialogue to be more entertaining sometimes than the entirety of the rest of an episode. Good chemistry between the two, but Christ, did I hate how Moriarty was portrayed. Not the actor's fault, but....my favorite episode overall continues to be the very first one in season one.

I often do dump books earlier, but amazingly, I have finished that book by now. I can't think of a single positive thing to say about it, and yet, I finished it!
