Unfortunately, no. I've seen some Russian shops in the small towns, with Cyrillic signs but I don't want to waste time shopping. On this trip, I'm totally focused on the nature and beautiful landscapes. I've never encountered anything so beautiful and untouched by man. :)

Yes, it's cold here. I love it! The only bad part is that it's also rainy, but the views are worth it!

Thanks! It's so peaceful here, with cool and refreshing air. I dread going back to the Washington, DC heat and humidity.

OOOooooh!!! Cool!
I'd like to visit Alaska! It's kind of my dream :)
More photos, please! And what would you say: is there expensive life?

It's worth visiting! Unfortunately, it's very expensive to live here because most areas are so remote and accessible via plane or boat only. So, everything has to be shipped or flown in which causes high prices for standard grocery items, etc. Many people here simply live off the land, shooting animals for meat and fat to get them through the brutal winters. I'll share more photos when I write my posts. :))

Yes, I love trains now! It's an awesome way to travel if you have the time. This photo is from the White Pass Railway, which goes into the Yukon Territory of Canada. I'll tell you all about it in the future. :)
