We don't have these types of fish snacks in America, so for a foreign visitor they're an unusual food.

Yes, inedible and uneatable mean the same thing. The terms are interchangeable. Thanks for Russian correction, which I knew. :) Just lazy with the Cyrillic keyboard.

Hi! I'm from Russia. In advance. I beg your petition for my english.

Decided to write, because I saw the stupidity in the video about the fish. It's like eating a banana peel is not =)) Тhe place in which he removed when biting Used.
In the food is mainly meat from the back and tail of a fish. Without skin and scales !!! ))) And of course without viscera. Also caviar

The result is something like a dried, salted sashimi=) Very cool with Beer
Incidentally universally sold in purified form.

Your English is good! The video is meant as a joke, obviously the reporter isn't that stupid. And why do you have the Confederate flag on your avatar? :)) Have you visited the Southern part of the U.S.?

I don't really like cats, but don't wish to eat one! :)) Russians love this animal. I'm surprised a cat wasn't one of the official Sochi mascots.

Different countries have different tastes in food. Russia came through many decades of privation, hunger and even cannibalism. Everything they had in the Russian cuisine was lost. I only read about the Russian cuisine in the classical Russian authors like Bunine, these Russian meals seemed to be delicious. But I've never seen any myself.

The Russians made a great contribution to the way the whole world serves their meals. It is called le service russe. This was introduced in the late 1880s. This means sewrving food by courses. Before that, how people ate was called le service francais - a haphazard serving of meals.

Regarding the dried fish, its consumption is caused by the inferior quality of what passed in Russia as beer. The standard Russian beer is so bad that it is impossible to compare even to American Bud. Once I entered Russia by train and while they were changing the carriage wheels from the European gauge to the Russian bought a bottle of a Russian beer, it was impossible to drink a single gulp of it, I spat out and ( ... )

Baltika beer isn't so bad, I drink it on occasion (Baltika No. 7). I can't believe the one time we have a major snow storm in DC, I was gone! Absolutely no snow in Russia when I was there and warm temperatures everywhere - Sochi, St. Petersburg and Moscow. Upon my return, spring has decided to come back to DC. Today almost 65 degrees.

Baltika was the worst beer I've tried in Russia. The most delicious were "Афанасий" and "Пикур". But I tried them 5 years ago, so things could be changed dramatically.
I noticed that quality of thee beers are highly dependent on plant in which they were produced.

I'm not a beer connoisseur, and I know many Russians hate this beer. I would never pick it over Belgian beer, or even most American beers, but I don't think it's horrible. In America, we have so many beers it's insane. Local breweries, etc., and a lot of them are very good.
