My faith lifts me. Stories of the saints, like St.Mary of Egypt, who we commemorate today, for instance. A remarkable story!

Religion plays absolutely no role in my life, but I'm pleased it lifts pleasant people like you during difficult times. Btw, is it you on the avatar? I remember you as a redhead. :)

Thanx :)

What lifts you? Feeling that life is so short

This is what is causing part of the anxiety...life is short, and I feel I should be doing something else. Something more meaningful...

Sex helps a lot...

Sex only helps me if it's meaningful, and now there are no worthy male candidates in the picture. But, sure, I'm using my vibrator almost every night. This is a way to release tension, and use imagination at the same time...:)

Meaningful for sure. Human needs a human... sex including. Did you watch old "Solaris" by Tarkovski? It's a big point there, the movie is in Criterion collection.

Definitely - we all need other humans, for many different reasons. But for me it cannot just be "any" human or physical body. In such cases, sex has the opposite impact. It leaves some sense of void afterward - like there was no real passion, or intellectual or emotional connection if it's with the wrong person. This feeling is not worth the few moments of momentary pleasure that come from sex with random people...at least for me. I understand most men, and even a lot of women, can't understand this concept. :) But it has always been my way. So, until the right man comes along, I use my toy and drink this tea...:))

I love it also. I have my headphones on at most times during the day, including at work.

Listen buddy, people don't need wings at all.

as we say - those who were born to crawl can't fly.
you say it a little differently - If God had meant us to fly he’d have given us wings

"those who were born to crawl can't fly.." Never heard the expression. Is it a Russian expression?

yes it is. it's something like a proverb now. originally this is a quote by Maxim Gorky - the singer of the communist revolution

Well I'm a dreamer...humans are meant to crawl for only a very short phase of life, and at no other time. However, some people wish to be on their knees an entire lifetime, in way or another. This is not my personality. :)
