I have not yet retired.
From the expression on the face of this woman, she wanted to go on a cruise to the Caribbean, but the vouchers were only for a cruise on the Volga River.

В России средний возраст мужчины 58 лет. Чтобы пенсию не платить :)
Характерно, что она сфоткала бабку, а не дедку, т.к. дедки нет уже лет цать.

In almost all countries, women live longer than men. We're the calmer sex, less stress on the heart. :)

my mother after retirement has traveled almost the whole of Europe. now going to Greece, Bulgaria and Romania and then down to Asia. so pensioners are different

Их пенсии уже разворованы царским режимом, а дети которые будут о них заботится не у всех. Поэтому многие россияне будут влачить нищенское существование после 65-70. Это если не умрут от болезней, т.к. медицина тоже "в прогаре".

I think it's different in the U.S. A lot of people invest in their own 401k's and other retirement plans. We're not so conditioned to rely on the government for everything.

But you do rely for the main, that the government will not rob citizen's funds. All the russians pretty sure for the opposite. Since 1918 rouble was denominated in 1 000 000 000 000 000 times, dollaras and treasures was confiscated.

We here, in Russia, found a way out of this situation. This is to die before retirement age.
