people like Sonia, very little
I was lucky. My aunt was so. She did not grow old, it has always been mobile, fun, doing gymnastics))
She's always watching their weight.
Excess weight is a death she said.
He died at 90 years
Doctors she had surgery in 90 years ... the idiots

it is for me an example. Old age comes when you want it himself.

Excess weight does not necessarily equal death, or even health problems. One of my relatives was a very round woman her entire lifetime. She used to eat sticks of butter for breakfast, and she lived to be over 100 years old. :) Many health factors are completely tied to genetics. We can't control everything in life, no matter how hard we try. The main thing is not to turn into a bitter, angry old person. There are too many of those in the world. :)

as always you did not read.
lawyer carelessness is unforgivable!
about weight - these are the words of Aunt!

but now my opinion of excess weight.
you justify much weight using the "genetics"
And the reason - laziness

People given the will, consciousness.
so we can change ourselves, that we want.
We're not animals.

I always read your comments, but perhaps the online translator distorted the words, because I did not fully understand it. Yes, sometimes laziness is the reason why people are overweight but not always. Do not be so quick to judge. :) For instance, now I'm heavier than usual because I've had a leg injury for almost a year, which prevents me from doing strenuous exercise. Based on my metabolism and body frame, I gain weight very quickly if I'm immobile. Whereas others stuff their face with whatever food they want, sit on their butts, and don't gain a pound. So, there are many factors. Laziness is only one of them. :)

I wouldn't post a photo (can send it privately). But I knew such man. And more than knew.
Occupation during WWII in the Belarus. After Soviet troops coming he was taken at the age of 17 to Army and due to the fact that he was from occupied territories he was enlisted into sapper troops. His friend touched a wire of a mine... As a result - hospital (mine splinters). Than amputation of a left leg above knee. 17y.o.... Without education.
After he recovered in several years he learned how to be a shoemaker than left it, finished school (externally), than studied as a younger medical assistant, finished with great score, than entered medical institute, graduated with great score... Later - post-graduation education, than he became a Doctor of medicine, than he became a Professor of medicine (in surgery)... And a lot of people from the USSR came to be operated by him...
After in five years he discovered and started to develop a hobby - landscape painting that also got some diploma at exhibitions...

... )

Thanks a lot! Yes, I'm mostly a happy, kind and calm person. I've had a very good life, not much to complain about really. :) And I truly believe the eyes are the windows to a person's soul. You can tell a lot by looking at them.

You're welcome! No one is interested in such feel good topics, but I still feel compelled to write them on occasion. To show the good in humanity. :)

The most graceful old lady I had ever known was my (now late) great grandmother. She wasn't a great traveller, the fartherest she had gone was a cross-country hiking trip to the concentration camp, to feed the prisoners and, hopefully, help some escape, during ww II... Also, the last 13 years of her life she was completely blind (inoperable at that time) - never had she complained! Only prayed to God to take her soon. And always remained calm, serene and even cheerful, whenever us, kids were around :)

Awesome! I once knew a babushka like that. She was so sweet and kind, and also blind near the end of her life. She was the grandmother of my Ukrainian friend, and I visited her during my time there. We even did vodka shots together! An amazing woman! Unfortunately, she recently passed away. :(
