"You're too self-absorbed to change"

Writing has gotten almost cripplingly hard to do as I feel like any time I’m not spilling my guts it’s not worth it. I really kind of wish it was the opposite way and I could be mundane, but the fire burns out a lot easier these days.

These are all legitimate fears. Also, I'm terrified of the GRE as well. I'm taking it next month, and although I applied for a school that doesn't require it, I still feel like if I take the exam and do horribly, that I have no business going to grad school. (That's some warped logic, but I'm paranoid about that sort of thing I guess?) Also, I don't know what's available in the city or near DuPage, but I'll be doing school part-time and working 40 hours a week with my current job. It's not a great suggestion (because I'm sure I'll be pulling my hair out come January), but that might be something to look into if you're not sure if you can afford it. I wish I had some better advice, but that's about it.
