I say go for it. :) Better to give that a shot than waste money on fixing the other machine, which you aren't sure will even work.

Thanks, hun. <3 This thing really seems to be coping okay, even with the minimal amount of space and a world of viruses. Hell, it's pretty much survived everything my brother's thrown at it for years on end, and that's no small feat. xD I do hope I get to keep it.

Deeefinitely. It should be emptied soon, though! I asked my brother to clear out the important stuff onto discs tomorrow so that it can be formatted; with some prompting, he'll remember. :3 Then this thing will run like a wet dream.
