The place buzzed with life as each student readied themselves for the event. Female students were giddy and almost running all over the place in an attempt to beat time and still be pretty for the ball while their male counterpart were anxious and expectant for the upcoming event.

The welcoming party for the first years would be held today at their school's garden. The garden was full of Sakura trees and elegant-looking flowers whose colours brightened the place, making the garden a little bit livelier.

"Sorry, Akanishi-san," a female voice echoed in Jin's ears when someone bumped into him. Jin looked and saw her bowing a little in sincere apology. In all honesty, Jin didn't see her coming since he was too occupied with his thoughts as to how he'd spend his time inside his room in the dormitory.

Even if each and every student was welcome to attend the party, he wasn't really in the mood. He wasn't that kind of person. He was the type who preferred to stay inside his room, brood, read his books, attend classes, eat, brood, do some training to keep his body fit, and then brood some more. Life was normal that way and he was never fond of sudden huge changes from his already established routine.

"Anno...Akanishi-san," the lady started to say when Jin tried to ignore her.

Jin looked at her slender frame. She was a beauty and her crème-colored dress that fell two inches above her knees gave justice to her feminine curves.

"Akanishi-san," she said again. Jin had the idea that she might be a sophomore because she knew his name.

"I was wondering," a short awkward pause, "I was wondering if you could dance with me at the ball later..." her voice came hesitant yet sweet.

"I'm sorry." he answered without even the slightest hint of smile on his lips. "I won't be attending the ball. I have to study for my exams tomorrow." What he said was true. He was already a junior and his classes had already started even before the first years had the time to settle in their rooms in their school dormitory.

"Oh." she whispered lowly, her expression was that of disappointment and forlorn.

"I'm going now." Jin bade her goodbye and went on his way.

Five minutes later, he saw Ueda and Nakamaru already dressed up in their black suits. The two were chatting about Ueda's boxing organization and Jin smiled a little when he caught a glimpse of Nakamaru throwing a right hook in the air.

"You have to meet her! She's a real eye candy!"

The cheerful voice broke through the silence of Jin's thoughts and he found himself watching two men whom Jin believed were sophomores because of their navy blue formal suits.

"Every girl is a beauty in your eyes, Koki-kun." the taller of the two replied with a wide smile on his face.

"I only know how to appreciate those prettyful women, Taguchi." the man named Koki happily chirped. Jin watched the two men greet every female student they pass by, the shorter of the two never failing to wink at the giggling girls. Jin just shook his head in amusement as he continued to walk.

"Oi, Jin!"

Jin looked to where the voice came from and a huge smile made its way to his face when he saw two men holding up pieces of cards at him.

Those two were his best friends, Nishikido Ryo and Yamashita Tomohisa. They looked dashing in their formal attire and Jin remembered the reason why he was wearing his suit even though he didn't wish to attend the party.

Kazuya was on the balcony where one could see what was happening in the garden. Soft music was playing to which men and women danced to its tune. The moon shone gently from above and it made the event all the more spectacular.

Kazuya shifted a little and caught a glimpse of three men playing cards in a corner near the elevators.

The three were all dressed up in their formal suits and all looked dashing and ready to mingle, only they weren't.

They seemed to be having fun by fooling around and teasing each other. Kazuya's smile changed into a frown when the shortest of the three looked like he had lost and had stomped away from the group with a scowl. The two who remained laughed before the brunette, probably also the youngest, ran off to chase after their friend. The man with pretty ringlets was the one left behind and Kazuya saw how the smile on the man's lips immediately faltered.

Always the curious person that he was, Kazuya made his way to the unsuspecting male. He tapped on the man's left shoulder and had a huge smile ready on his face.

Jin turned around, thinking that Pi must have already returned, only to see a young male smiling so happily at him. The male was pretty for a guy; Jin immediately took notice. He wore a white suit with golden threads and buttons for the accents, contrary to his black and gold ensemble. The pretty male must be a batch representative or something. Maybe, the pretty male didn't even study in their school.

"My name is Kamenashi Kazuya." Kazuya started. "Would you tell me yours?"

Jin frowned at that. He wasn't really the type who talked to cheery, beautiful strangers. "Akanishi." he just answered then he turned to leave, thinking that he'd spend his time lying on his bed instead.

Jin was already a few feet away from the beautiful stranger when he heard footsteps closing in on him. He sighed and pretended to not notice the man.

"You know, Akanishi-san,” Kazuya voiced out as he walked side-by-side the man, “it's rude to not introduce yourself properly." His hands swayed on his side for a short while before they finally settled on the space below his hips.

Jin chose to remain silent and started counting his steps instead of listening to the pretty male.

"Are you not going to attend the party, Akanishi-san?"

"It would be a waste if you don't put your elegant suit into use, Akanishi-san."

"All the girls are looking at you, Akanishi-san." the pretty male said when they passed by the garden where the event was being held.

"Your ringlets are cute, Akanishi-san." Kazuya continued to say.

"Look," Jin was sure he sounded exasperated. "do me a favor and stay here, Kamenashi." Jin finally said to cut off the pretty male's blabbering.

Kazuya smiled and tried his best to stay put. They were a few feet away from the garden but he could still hear and appreciate the music that was being played. A frown creased Kazuya's forehead when he noticed that Akanishi was actually leaving him behind.

Pouting, he dragged his feet forward to reach Akanishi and immediately grabbed the man's hands.

"What the-"

"You're rude." Kazuya declared and they both stared at each other while the music played. The older of the two was almost glaring daggers at the other while the younger just flashed the older a smile.

"Dance with me, Jin." Kazuya smiled sweetly at the man.

"What?" Jin was more than annoyed. The beautiful stranger was actually a persistent brat. “And how’d you know my name?”

Kazuya pointed to the nameplate that was pinned on the left side of Akanishi’s suit, just a little above the heart. Jin groaned.

"Dance with me." Kazuya repeated, held Akanishi's hands with both of his and led the man to the grand, elegant-looking lobby that had a flooring made of marble as well as columns and pillars which were accentuated with gold trimmings along with red and white roses and curly vines.

The man, who introduced himself as Kamenashi Kazuya, started to sway with the music. Waltz. Suffice to say, Jin was astounded but tried to follow suit, gave in to the younger male who seemed bent on dancing. When the lights shone on Kazuya's face, Jin was more than bedazzled.

The half-pony Kazuya wore emphasized the man's face. His skin glowed and shimmered like pearl under the bright lights. The pink lips showed off a smile Jin would admit to be the sweetest he'd ever seen. Kazuya's chocolate-brown eyes were bright with mischief and happiness and Jin never saw someone so beautiful.

Kazuya's smiles were enticing.

It was peaceful just like that with the music playing, the grand lobby and them completing a waltz.

The music hit the low notes and then the fairytale was soon gone. The music had now changed and the magic disappeared as they both came to a final stop.

Kazuya had to pull away from his dance partner who seemed to tighten his hold on him and with the sweetest smile the younger male could muster, "I’ll be waiting." he whispered to him.

“Why?” the word came out of Jin’s lips.

“I’ll be waiting…for you…so…if you come…” Kazuya gazed gently at the man who seemed to be figuring out some sort of a difficult riddle.

“Come where?” Jin then asked, frowning slightly even if the pretty male kept smiling at him. “How can I find you if you don’t belong here?” and he was sure that this man named Kamenashi Kazuya does not belong in their school.

Kazuya leaned closer to Akanishi and whispered, “You’ll find me,” against the man’s lips before he kissed him on the lips. "I promise." and with that, Kazuya let go, gracefully walked away with a smile on his lips. Jin watched the slender form that was Kazuya, walk away from him. He’ll find him. He will.
