Tokyopop ReCon - Waterstones Nottingham!

Whooo! Today I went to something called a ReCon held by Tokyopop! It was kinda like a mini convention really and it was loads and loads of fun! Thanks again for Tony ( nightowldarksky ) for inviting me along, I really enjoyed it and it was awesome to meet him for the first time! He's a really wonderful person and very easy to get along with :D We had loads of fun

Yay! Twas very cool. Any fans of manga and cosplay should go to future events. It's well cool.
My advice is also to anyone going to one of these, take a good friend. It wouldn't have been as fun there without you Jodie. *ultimate bow*

It sounds fun, I want more cons. :< I can't go to Armageddon (next con here), it's right in the middle of all my assessments. At least I had Manifest.

Mixing records puts your friends' dressed-up Pokémon into the gallery and all their stuff onto the TV.

Yeah, it's a shame when you can't really get to the conventions you want too, my next one is in October which is also in Nottingham (*And even then I can't stay around for the cooler events and Sunday is a huge no go cos there's no trains running that day*), then hopefully this next Tokyopop thing as long as I'm not working and then next years Amecon which is a MUST, I love Amecon <3

Ah! I see! Not sure if he's done any dressing up of his Pokémon but this probably means that he'll be able to see the silly one I did of my Piplup when I first got him XD

Hi

I saw you at the Recon but didn’t get change to come talk to you due to how busy it was. I was the Sakura from Naruto.

And I agree going with friends made it really fun. I went along with the Kakashi, and Hughes and my sister, who was cosplaying Ino. As well as meeting up with other friends when we got there.

It was a great evening and it was a shame it wasn’t advertised better, I only found out about it when I got the latest Neo magazine. I then went into Waterstones and asked about it and hardly any one knew what I was going on about, when I asked to by the tickets, I had to point it out from the poster they had up.

Thanks for putting the photos up, it’s not easy taking photos when your taking part in stuff, lol Do you mind if I take a copy?

My sister also saw your bag and told me on the tram home that you had her favorite Digimon Gatomon.

Awww, wow hi! If I had known you were the Sakura I would of said hi there XD Awesome costume by the way, all the costumes there were fantastic! I actually did wonder while I was there if you had come to the event too XD

Yeah, nightowldarksky only found out about it in Neo Magazine too and on the Waterstone's site there wasn't that much info about what was gonna be going on, still a very awesome turnout though and it was loads of fun! :D

In mixing records, it firstly gives reports on your friends on the TV (like that matters XD). Also, since Feebas only appear in 4 random squares that change daily in Mt Coronet, if you mix records the squares become the same as your friend's, which makes them easier to find.

Apparently you can also get tickets/items this way, as in R/S/LG/FR. According to the guy who had the Darkrai event I mixed records with. I'm still trying to figure out if that's true or not =/

Yeah when I was looking up about mixing records I saw a lot about this item thing but couldn't find a real statement online that it was true or not @_@
