It is warmer this morning and we might see the 60s today. Rain is heading our way by the looks of what is happening in the mid-west.

You may wish to see if any of the universities in UK/Europe might have info on the "old" guilds.
Textile museums may be able to help to. There are a number of them. The V&A I think has a large collection of textiles.
