My grandmother died on Wednesday morning. I'm still waiting for this news to reach me across the Nullarbor Plain. Stuff like this never hits until four days later, like it's crawled on its hands and knees through saltbush and desert and lonely gas stations

I'm so sorry you've lost your grandmother - and that the news took its own sweet time in reaching you. Take care of yourself, Dragons. Driving sounds good. Just some movement, fresh air, change of scenery.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Were you very, very close to your grandmother? You should do what is best for you - at the end of the day, she is gone and either won't know or won't want you to do something that would jeopordize your own peace of mind and peace of body. You can honour her in your own way, right where you are. Drive baby - funny, I was doing this myself earlier this week...
You have work and exams and are far away, realistically noone will expect you to do this...
