I especially liked this
Even though, in his fevered child’s mind, he associated monsters with the dark, he knew well enough that they existed in the daylight too. They weren’t as scary but paradoxically they were more dangerous. His split lip and bruised body testified to that.
It's the perfect transition between his memories and his current situation: it works for both and really makes feel that Michael has regressed into the kid locked in the Pershing Ave. closet.
On a side note, yay for coaxing your mojo into writing a little something \o/

Thanks, sweetheart. I think that was the bit I liked best too. :)
It didn't turn out to be much but at least the mojo cooperated a little. I do have the feeling that this could become a longer fic with more of an examination of Michael and confined spaces. I need to watch the relevant episode. It's really nothing to do with the fact that Michael was handcuffed, obviously!
