This is a scene I would have loved to have watched. You created it beautifully and I could see the pain in Michael's face.

I love the offered forgiveness, but even more, I love this:

"I thought you'd have known me better by now, I can do whatever I want."

Oh my!

I love this so much. This is exactly the kind of conversation I wanted them to have. I also love that you put them back in the cigar club. Talk about coming full circle!

Henry is just great here - you've captured his gruff manner perfectly, and that last line of his was just sublime.

Thank, thank you so much!

I am so glad you liked it! Writing something for you is pretty daunting you know. :)

I loved this. Your take on Pope is great and he acts very... Pope-like with Michael.
I like how you cornered Michael, both literaly and metaphorically, making it impossible for him to escape Pope, whatever he may have to say to him. And of course, I'm glad they have their happy ending :-p

"You can't do that. What I did was unforgivable."
"I thought you'd have known me better by now, I can do whatever I want."

Thank you for the lovely comment. It was difficult to write. I've never written the Pope before. :)

This is really good! I've always loved the interactions between Michael and Pope in S1, and you did such a great job here. You can feel how complex their relationship is, and how tense things are between them. The ending is very hopeful.

A great read! :)
