Things I love! First, I went to see The Producers and lost. my. shit. I laughed continuously through the last half of the movie. People who doubt the relevence of entertainment, comedies in particular, can take it up with me. I haven't laughed like that in ages, and man did I need it. I've loved The Producers since I was a little girl. I ( Read more... )

I liked the film a lot, but I just could not help but see Gene Wilder every time Matthew Broderick popped up.

Gene Wilder owns that role. But I do give props to Matthew Broderick for doing something kinda different with it. He didn't do a Gene Wilder impression, so in that respect I like his performance. But you're totally right. During the blue blanket scene all I could see was Gene going, "I'm hysterical, I'm hysterical! I'm WET, and I'm hysterical!" *g*

HAHAHA pickle! I know, I love that voice - she did it for like an hour in Calhoun's the other night to make me feel better. The potato soup story is my favourite.

Yeah, gotta love the whole ramble about the potato *g* We went on a whole stint about "Tom Cruise, he make third movie about Impossible Mission. Is good when KGB try to shoot him in face."

I REALLY want to see The Producers film. And I am glad it is pee-your-pants funny. I wouldn't have it any other way.

As for the KGB joke, just watch next time as some Soviet turns around with a bushy mustache and a crazed look in his eyes and says "I ex-KGB. That is not funny, it very serious."

P.S. As I know you work at Roger's and have probably dealt with the film, my dad and I watched "Into the Blue" a few nights ago. AS A JOKE. But in all honesty it was so bad that we were both crying with laughter. "Look Bro, I found a plane!"
"You mean an airplane? In the ocean? How odd..."

Heh, one day when I was hard up for a movie to watch I walked over to the Into the Blue display, picked up the show box, and decided I wasn't that hard up *g*

And, er, there were some guys behind us who I think may have been from Russia. Heh...they kept giving us the ole stink eye. I still like my KGB joke *g*
