Wow!  What an amazing conclusion to the 21st Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver!

The Closing Ceremonies were really cute and very tongue-in-cheek, a lot more lighthearted than the Opening Ceremonies, and made good fun of Canadian stereotypes. Loved the little 'correction' bit with the Olympic Torch and Cauldron!  I love a people who can laugh at

That was an awesome hockey game! Dan woke up to catch the end, then had to stay up to watch the overtime too. :) It was a real nail-biter!

It certainly was! I hope Dan wasn't too disappointed by the outcome, being a loyal American? (Canadians would have been absolutely devastated and very depressed if we had lost, I must confess. Today would have been very gloomy!) It sure would have been easier to watch if I hadn't cared so much about that outcome, let me tell you! But a well-played game all-around, so I think all the players are winners. :-)

The Olympics looked like they were such fun! It's so interesting seeing it from the perspective of someone in the city where they are being held... It's giving me some idea of what it's going to be like when the Summer Olympics come here in 2012!
