Out On a Limb

Hoy, All in LJ-Land!

Ah, Last Day of Summer.  :-(   I'm both sad, and grateful for having it.

When I suddenly realized this weekend that I hadn't posted at all in September, (wow, August 31st seems like a lifetime ago!) I got down to the library PDQ (um, that's Pretty Darn Quick, in case you don't know this older acronym) and am rectifiying that!

I'm ( Read more... )

>>And so, I'm going to be posting my first ficlet in a while, and may it be the first of many!

Don't tease us unless you plan to deliver! LOL :))

Hee. Well, as you might see soon, I've at least made a start on that delivery! It might not be a Supes/Bats fic yet, but hey, at least I'm trying to write again! Gotta kickstart those rusty Muses in any way I can, right?

Good to 'see' you, T! How are you?

Hope your own writing is much less troublesome and problematic for you!

Cheers!

Pax :-)

Paxxxxxxxx! So happy to see you here too! I posted something in my own LJ just like two days ago. Sweet coincidence :-D
I owe you a long email to tell you news and stuff (and, yes, I got yours), I don't have anything remotely interesting like last year, though!
I'm happy you are starting to write again, and I'll definitely look forward to reading something from you. If it'll be Gatch... even better! :-D

Luxxxxxxxxx!!!! So happy to see YOU! I was really starting to worry a little about you, you know! I'm so relieved to find you alive and well. (I hope well??)

Every time I think of Italy lately, or someone says 'Ciao' to me, I think of you! I'm happier than I can say that we're back in touch! Yay!

And yes, I've posted a story again after a long time. VERY long. No, it's not Gatch - yet. (at least it's an anime?) But I'll be getting to that comafic again - I really want to.

Take care, and looking forward to talking to you soon!

Pax :-)

*squeals a lot at KKM fic* Although...I haven't had time to read it yet, lol! Today was a total zoo and I'm going to crash quite soon...I've been saving it until I have time to really enjoy it. Hoping to get to it tonight but...*looks at clock sadly*

It's such a thrill to see you posting fic, dear wolf! And I've watched a little Fullmetal Alchemist and I can definitely see falling for that as well. :) I shall hold out hope for the Epic as well though.

Aw, thanks, Jen! And I'm so glad you got a chance to read the story already! (think I could hear you squealing from across the Pacific!! )

And yay! Another FMA fan! (Roy Mustang is my favourite so far, though I love the Elrics, and Maes Hughes quite a lot too. How about you?)

Sorry to hear your life is so zoological right now! (I hear ya!)

Yes, keep holding out for that Epic. (I just hope you find it worth the wait.) And meanwhile, let me know when you have time and I'll send you that KKM fic idea bushel, 'kay?

It's a thrill to BE posting, let me tell you! :-)

Take care!

I haven't actually watched enough FMA to have agood grip on the full cast of characters--probably only the first four or five episodes, alas! It looks so cool though...

And meanwhile, let me know when you have time and I'll send you that KKM fic idea bushel, 'kay?

I've got the time now! Send away!

Instead of saying No, say Yes to what you really want to do, to the things that will help in your long-term goals and support your core values. "Yes, I will avoid over-doing it and stick to the 6 km hike, during which I will show the kids that French exists outside the classroom." "Yes, I will enjoy nature and get some exercise by kayaking; it's more important than ..."

Glad to see you've gotten more movie work. You seem to really enjoy it!

You are quite right, of course, and finding that way to say Yes to some of it, and No to the things that cause more negative stress is part of the balance I'm striving to achieve this year. (some times more successfully than at others!)

And yes, I was kind of relieved to get that bit of Film work as I didn't get nearly as much as I'd hoped or needed this past summer. It made me feel still part of the game in some small way, you know?

Thanks! :-)

Hey Pax!!

I'm so glad to hear you so positive and trying to get yourself back into everything you love. It's hard when life tries to push us in so many ways, but I hope you can find the balance you're looking for -the one we're all looking for, I guess!

I hope you get more film work too, I think it's really exciting! Good look with all your students. I'm sure you'll get to know them all eventually, lol. No idea how, but I know you will!

Take care and don't do silly things like walk such long hikes! your poor feet! I'm patiently waiting for your JL epic! *waits patiently* :)

Hi Mina!

How wonderful to 'see' you! Thanks so much! :-)

I am trying to be positive, it's true, and some days I'm more positive about stuff than not, and other days, it's a challenge to keep optimistic! ('specially when I get really tired and can't sleep any more. Insomnia is an ugly, ugly thing.)

Yeah! I hope I get some more film work too! Guess we'll see!

And you? You're nearly finished architectural school, are you not? How's that coming?

You're right - my blister still hurts! I'll try to go for shorter hikes for a while now.

And wow - you are amazingly encouraging and so patient! Yes, I'm trying to finish my school work (all my short and long term plans were due this week) so I can get on that goal of FINALLY posting that musty old thing. (I do hope you think it's worth the wait after all this time. I really do. *afraid a little*)

You take care, and thanks so much for popping by!

Cheers, Mina!

Just trying to be positive makes a huge difference. It changes your whole approach to problems, I think. Insomnia! ughh, that's terrible.. I hope you're not getting it too often.

And me, I'm doing good! I graduate next semester... so, very soon! might have a chance to do an internship somewhere in the US. Still not sure where, though, or if I will be eligible for it, but I'm sure hoping so :) I will know for sure in May!

I really want to see the JLA story! I'm really looking forward for you posting it :) Hope you're doing good, Pax!

Huuugs :)

I think you're right about trying to stay positive.

And wow, so close to being done school! How exciting.

And an internship in the States, eh? Well, do let me know if you end up in a northwestern state; I'd cross the border to meet you, if possible, or invite you further north! (wouldn't that be awesome, Mina?)

Yes, I actually found Part One today of the JLA Epic. (grin) Now I need to find a way to upload it! (ancient disk, you know.)

Hugs back!

Pax, Getting a Little Nervous about it for some reason ...
