It's Harry Potter Day!

....  Scooting in and out here in a mess of chaos ...

I find I'm filled today with a curious mix of anxiety, anticipation, joy, and trepidation.  In fact, I slept quite incredibly badly last night, having a restless night filled with dreams of werewolves and Death Eaters.  I'm more afraid of this final book in

I think the world is telling you that are right to retire Shadow.

Hubby had 1990 Jetta, just like the Golf but not a hatch-back. Very, very nice car. I miss it, almost as much as I miss my own Corolla. So, good choice! And Volkswagons are good, solid things that keep on going.

Hi Cricket! And thank you for your insights on Volkswagens. I hope also that it works out well, as I'm committed to it now. (despite second-guessing myself.) I will really miss my Shadow though. (and its easy automatic transmission - it'll be tricky re-learning a stickshift again after so long.) I do hope it keeps going!

Hope you're having a good summer. Here, not great but not horrid, though we did just finish a 7 day straight stretch of majorly rainy weather. (not as bad as in the UK, poor folks) And I'm not getting much film work, or any writing done, :-( and there's the car crap, but otherwise, not bad.

Just finished chapter 9! Taking a break! Filled with anxiety!

I re-read HBP last night, skimming to remind myself of the important scenes...oh, the sequence with Dumbledore driniking that potion over the Horcrux and weeping with regret and grief...it tears at me so much!

Don't get in any more accidents! We have to be able to discuss the book! I'll email you when I'm done! :)

You're lucky you got the book so early! Well, I'm only on Chapter 12 right now, (you're probably pretty much done by now!) so no worries about e-mailing or anything! (and I'm staying away from the internet as much as possible to avoid potential spoiling till I myself am finished) so please, no rush!

(arrghhh! Was so shocked when Hedwig was ... well, you know.)
