Who....who are you and what have you done with Pax?

Really though, plantains are good for longer cooking because, though nigh inedible raw, cooking turns the starches to sugar and makes them nummy (what we know of as "bananas" are a minority of a rather large family of tube fruit because most of them need to be cooked first)
If you're feeling adventurous, try slightly green bananas battered in tempe, or batter made with cinnamon, dash of nutmeg and vanilla with a liquor sauce.

But that would mean I would actually have to plan ahead rather than just grabbing things from the cabinet to see how they blend. ;)

But I could do small butter infusions with other stuff as well. Rosemary, peppers, shallots... I wonder how rose petals would work?
