Is something wrong with the formatting, I can't see what the books actually were?

FWIW, I read "how to win friends and influence people" and before I read it I had a really horrible impression of people who'd used it to act smarmy and manipulative. But when I actually read it, it seemed mostly really nice -- there were lots of stories about "and then you should genuinely respect and like people and that will be worth it in the long run". Although I agree how several parts were 1950s-ish in a bad way :(

I'm curious if you find any books which seem more helpful for your actual situation. I can think of some blogs maybe, but I don't really know of any books.

Ahem. Thank you. The perils of writing something in email on the bus, then copy-pasting it into lj, is you forgot stuff. Yes, it was HTWFAIP, well guessed.

Basically yes, it's nowhere near as poisonous as you'd think though '7 Habits...' is actually worse than you'd think from the title. Will let you know if anything more modern works better.

Ugh, I didn't know anything about 7 habits, now I think I don't want to :)
