I went on a weekend trip with the English Department to Huaiyin, what the Chinese consider to be in the fourth rank because it only has a million or so people. Cities that are big enough to be their own administrative districts like Beijing and Shanghai are rank one, provincial capitals like Nanjing are rank two, and other important developing

Thanks for the interesting post, I love reading about other people's experiences of places I'm probably not going to be lucky enough to visit.

The sleeves thing sounds a lot like the Tudor thing for pale skin.

They have the pale skin thing here, too, which is fine because it distracts Chinese guys away from the perfectly cute tan girls that I like. Haha!
