If you're willing to read an AU that's as long as the original 7 books, there's Lightning on the Wave's (lightningwave) Sacrifices series. It can be found at http://www.fanfiction.net/~lightningonthewave

I much prefer a longer read. It gives me something I can sink my teeth into. I'll definitely check this one out.

Thank you. :-)

Do you have any genre or pairing preferences? I've been in HP Fandom for a while, I could probably come up with some.

No preferances at this point. I've only just become a Potter fan (I'm slow, I know). I do like Remus a lot. Maybe something with him?

Hmm. I really enjoy a_t_rain's writings. Here's a bunch of her stories, she writes good gen and, I think, some Remus/Tonks.

Fernwithy writes really good Remus as well. Shifts and Shades are retellings of OotP and HBP from Remus and Tonks' POVs, and are long, detailed and generally glorious stories. I recommend pretty much all of her stories, though.

If you don't mind some slash, Samvimes's stories are also great, especially the Stealing Harry AU, which is Sirius/Remus. If you want something more gen, Registration never fails to bring me to giggles. All those stories are here.

Um. That will probably tide you over. :)

Thank you so much. That will definitely get me started. I don't know why it took me so long to get into Harry Potter. I'm about halfway through the fifth book and I can't seem to read it fast enough. :-)

Welcome to Pottermania. JOIN THE MASSES!

Be careful of the Potter fandom, though. Seriously...they're crazy.
