...I love the young adult section of the book store. That being said, I'm reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians series "The Lightning Thief" with my son and it's fantastic. I'm not finished with it yet, but I haven't been this excited over a book series since Harry Potter (okay, this is no Harry Potter, but it's close).

Don't feel bad. One of my favorite authors, Robin McKinley, is a YA author. :-)
