Effin around on Etsy.

HOLY GEEZ. There are some amazing folks on Etsy. I started a favorites list. I find that I'm always cruising other people's favorites, so I might as well start my own. I think it's the best way to sort through all the crap. Sure, there's the treasury section and all sorts of lists...but I find the coolest stuff through spying ( Read more... )

Ah, Fresh Spring Peas! Full of Spring Goodness and Green Pea-ness! cucumberseed November 27 2011, 06:21:18 UTC
That first and third picture are going right in my design sparks. The last two are going to be characters.

I'm actually old enough to remember Mr. Welles' infamous Birdseye pea commercial. I was very small and I thought that if someone loved peas that much, they must be kind of awesome (the ones he had must have had Velveeta on them or something). His last movie role was in the first Transformer's (animated) movie; I kind of imagine him and Raul Julia laughing it up in the afterworld, Unicrom and M. Bison.

That is, I think, a high cost to pay to be a young genius, though. And writing has no prime age. Some brilliant writers never started until they were our ages put together. Time is on your side, as long as you spend some of it writing and being awesome, which you already have half-covered before you write a word.

That said, keep on writing and I will return to same as soon as I am able.

I looked up the peas commercial. Geez. That sucks man. You go from directing Citizen Kane to getting directed in a frikkin peas radio spot. If that's the price then, you're right, I'd rather be average and slowly get my work done.

Also, are you better yet? Almost?

Yeah. Poor bastard. I would rather have my glories ahead of me for a while longer.

On the road to better. It is a bit of a process.
