which was indeed, pretty dismal. Way too big and spread out for a WFC, which is - really - all about hanging out at the bar meeting and drinking with fabulous people. Hope you are all coming back for Toronto in 2012!!

One time while staying at the Town & Country for a technical conference, my co-worker and I rented a car for the week.

We wound up saving enough money to pay for the car and gas simply by going to breakfast at Denny's each day...and the food was better.

(This was before the light rail made it all the way up there, so the car was really helpful.)

I'll chalk it up to next time. Actually, hopefully there will never be a next time and the T&C, but if the stars explode in ill favor, I'll definitely be making the time to eat "off campus."

I am extremely jealous. Though not of terrible hotels. Actually, no I'm jealous of that, too, what with a weekend of cold darkness in my filthy apartment (I stop cleaning when the power goes out, for some reason, and tonight is going to be quite a job of work making the place habitable), but only a little jealous.
