Go Pens! and AMD too!
The Pens are finally turning things around. They staked their roster with the #1 draft pick, an 18 year phenom, have the legendary Lemieux, and added a hand full of other top notch stars... and then lost their first nine games of the season. But now they have a new goalie and have won four of their last six.
In other news, more computers have been sold from retailers this last month with AMD chips in them than Intel. 49.8% of all retail sold computers had AMD chips last month (comp to 48.5% for Int). This is mostly due to AMD dominating the desktop market (67.7%) and making strides in the laptop business (less than 20% in June, now up to 31.5%).
One caveat is that this only takes into account the retail market, it doesn't include the corporate market or direct to consumer sales such as Dell. Dell has yet to get on the band wagon and still refuses to sell AMD powered computers.... hrm... think that's b/c they whore themselves out to Intel?
