It snowed here last night too ...starshinewayFebruary 1 2010, 13:14:34 UTC
I hope it doesn't tonight, it would be nice to have some sunshine for Mummy's funeral tomorrow, so that the floral tributes show themselves at their best.
Hopefully you arrived in one piece despite the weather! Very best wishes for your first day back at work!

That's understandable - you have had such an adventure!
I'm a bit up-and-down, not eating nor sleeping properly etc. It will be a relief to have the funeral done with, but with her living in rented property (where they had lived since they married in September 1940 - I guess that generation didn't like to buy because it was easier to move quickly if a bomb fell on the house, if one rented, or the thinking went something like that) - I am feeling quite overwhelmed with all there is to do. I have started moving some things into my already untidy flat, but there really isn't room for everything I would like to keep, which is a wrench. My home is already in chaos now, which I suppose reflects my life ... but it will pass, no doubt.
I'm just so grateful that she was able to live in her little love-nest that she and Daddy created right up to the end.

It will take a while to get steady again -- and how lovely that they were able to stay in that space.
Of course, I'm notable for not asking for help, but might the Rebekahs or others help you? and, perhaps there are ways you can sell some of the less precious things to help your own situation out?

It's going to be a cold weekend here in Austin, but there won't be much rain til Monday. And it should not be frozen.

Maybe we can see one another at the end of the week?
