Oh, and I wore a green cotton batik-y dress I bought in Maui with a green cotton long-sleeved shirt -- it was supposed to be almost 90 and the service was going to be outdoors. Turned out to be the right choice -- most of the women were in casual and the only men in "formal" dress were a couple of the men who were in suits and the guys who attended in uniform. Duncan wore a pair of grey slacks and a green shirt.
Since I sat on the floor or an ottoman most of the time at Tami's house, and it was not AC'd and was really hot, it was the right choice.
Well, as said, karma comes when it comes. One of the things funerals are supposed to do is help you grieve and remember and become more reconciled to the loss -- this one really did. And finding other people (not blood) who are grieving and loving the way you are really helps.
