The field show that had been chosen for Duncan was kinda blah, but OK. After trying it out (playing it) for a bunch of the band members, they expressed that they really, really disliked it. He figured that with a new Band Director and a show that most of the band disliked, they might have real problems keeping up their quality next year ( Read more... )

0_0 You can buy pre-charted shows these days? Wow. I feel old. The Styx show sounds great though, and it's way cool that you have a band geek kid.

It amazed me, too. But some of the members of the band have been working on learning to chart, and can do it.

Apparently HS bands & smaller colleges are more likely to buy the pre-charted shows. Bigger colleges & Universities may learn new shows and chart them for every show.

He is such a band geek. ;-) Today is "Tear Day," as it is the day when the Drum Major & Flag Captain for 2007-2008 are chosen, after 2 months of practice and learning. It will be interesting to talk to him tonight. ;-)
