The dogs we have now always have had cats in the house, so it won't be a big deal for them. They would try to play with the cats; there never was any dog vs. cat fighting going on.
The Ragdoll breed is known for getting along well with dogs, so I'm thinking there won't be any problems. We have a room where we can leave the cats. It has a gate across the door, so the critters will be able to get used to each other at their own place.
Glad to hear your experience matches what I've heard. I've also heard it takes them up to three years to mature. I guess that means they'll act like kittens longer, which would be cool.
