Who refuels the writer when that tank has been turned out, shaken out and emptied for the reader? How does the writer return from that spot of naked emotional exposure?

She's really good about responding to emails. Try asking her.

And if you have not read her book This Road Will Take Us Closer to the Moon, then buy it-but make sure you've got plenty of time when you sit down, because you won't want to stop. I read it in about two days and then re-read it twice in a span of about three weeks.
