PV, sorry to hear about Petey. I know how much your dogs mean to you and Sherry.

With any luck, he's providing some canine soul at a big Zev concert in the sky, singing back-up to "Even a Dog Can Shake Hands." I gotta believe any dog of yours just has to love rock and roll, whether he's here or in heaven.

My sympathy also to you both. It's the one disadvantage of loving dogs, cats or any other pet -- they refuse to live forever. But remember that Petey knew he was loved and, knowing you two, was treated as wonderfully as a dog could ever want. And if there's any kind of decent heaven, with pets admitted, you three will be together again.
