I'm wondering if Lisa has been in the picture all along, and we just haven't seen it.

Sam knew in ep 100 that Dean had gone to see her, so I wonder if there's just been contact they and we haven't seen it...because it was shoehorned in at the last minute.

I hope we'll get some backstory to that. If not, I'm writing fic for it.

It was a hurty episode, huh?

I mean, the more I think about it, the worse I feel for both Winchesters. The more achy I get over the idea that our five-season arc, the one we've spent so much time following and pondering and writing about, is all over now.

But - new season, new showrunner, new stories! \o/

I'm clinging fast to the hope of Season 6, and that somehow, somewhere, the show will finally give that "peace when you are done."

Because I think what hurts me most is that this ep ... left no one with any peace at all. *clings and sniffles some more*

You've basically just said everything I'm thinking. I too thought of the "The Hurt Locker" a bit. Maybe he'll have a talk with Ben in there as well. I hope it's option number too because I love Lisa and Ben and I want to see this played out. I have no idea what happens next and maybe this is what irks me a little. It's so open. I do hope for daddy!Dean and an awesome reunion for the boys.

Yes, this. I want these guest characters to matter, I want the show to work through the implications of the way they ended this season, I want Lisa to be treated as an individual human woman and not as a warm, glowy symbol of love and home and motherhood. I like her as a warm glowy symbol, don't get me wrong. I just would like her better as a person.
