My labmate kindly gave me a ride downhill to my car on her bike one day and OMG OMG OMG. It really felt like I had my heart in my mouth. It was scary and exhilirating and scary and exciting and scary and wonderful at the same time. Perhaps the scary bit was exarcebated by the fact that I had no helmet and is twice the size of my sweetheart of a labmate.

:p

Whoo hoo for the awesome trip and scaring little children inadvertantly!

Being caught naked? Always best to pretend it didn't happen and not make eye contact until awkwardness is over. *nods firmly*

This. This this this.

Except, oddly, I wasn't scared for even a second on that bike. Probably this is because I am an idiot, or maybe it's because Pat was definitely taking it easy for my benefit, but there was no moment when I thought anything bad was going to happen.

Heh. Our strategy was to laugh about it that evening - "How was your day?" "Boring." "So this morning was the high point?" "Yup." "For me too." - which has actually turned the incident into a lovely icebreaker. Now he's seen my breasts, there's no reason to tiptoe around each other anymore.

Just spinning by as I do from time to time to make sure I don't miss any Nazareth drabbles and I saw MOTORCYCLES and had to say: MOTORCYCLES ARE AWESOME!! As long as you trust the rider, anyway. Mr. Bill finally sold his off last year and I miss it so. But the brother-in-law bought one recently, so I'll have to dust off my helmet and borrow him from his girlfriend one of these days.

MOTORCYCLES ARE TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME!!!

And I do trust the rider; I know he's careful with me. At least twenty or thirty miles per hour more careful than he is with himself.

Once we were coming up on some construction on Carrollton Avenue, and at a stoplight he twisted around and put the visor down on my helmet. "You'll get grit in your face."

Also, Mr. Bill rode a motorcycle. This makes me unreasonably happy. It also makes me think of this post, and then giggle.

*giggles*
