(casual, Claire)
She stumbles through the jungle, searching, always searching. Blood dries sticky on her face, and her blurry eyes create strange shapes out of the green and grey.
One shape, tall and rigid, smiles at her like an old friend. "Hello, Claire."
Her fingers grasp clumsily against the rifle for protection. She remembers the shape, remembers he did this to her. "Ethan?" The words scrape along her throat as she barks, "Where's my baby?"
Smiling, always smiling, but with dead eyes, Ethan says soothingly, "Your baby's just fine, Claire. Charlie's looking out for him."
"Charlie's dead. You... you're dead." Thunder cracks from her gun, and Ethan dissolves into smoke.
(spirit, Jacob and Esau)
Esau sits next to her mangled body, the faint smile of a cat plastered across his face. "You certainly took your sweet time getting here," he muses. Dangling from his fingers is her wooden ankh.
"What have you done?" Jacob asks blankly. Panic and rage fight for dominance in his chest, cancel each other out, turn the world cold.
Esau lets the necklace slip, and grinds it into the mud. "Only what you would have done to me." His pale eyes burn with glee. "Oh, wait. You did."
Jacob falls to his knees, hating Esau, hating himself more. He forgot the unspoken rule:
Cheat and forfeit your queen.
