Pale hands dust the sand from his shoulders. He steals a kiss because he's (angry) tired of pretending the world makes sense. Pulls her trembling to his chest. "I missed you, Walt."
He almost cries. It's too much. Too many villains who aren't villains and names that aren't his. "I'll get it right, Emma. I'll go back-"
The finger on his mouth shushes him. "You can't."
They all fall.
