This line is super-fab! :) I also like the notion that Freckles lived on the island, though I suspect "Katie" would punch anyone who called her that. Then again, maybe he's getting her back for calling him "James" all the time on the island. And come to think of it, maybe that's why "James" bothers me so much -- Sawyer lives on the island. Same as Freckles. Very insightful.

Hee, I kind of unconsciously stole it from "Greatest Hits" when Charlie asks Clair if it was her first plane crash, but once it was in there, it kind of fit, so I left it.

She would totally punch them, and I agree, that's why "James" sounds wrong.

oh, this was great, sweetie! i love your characterizations of the other survivors (how much do i love hurley's entrance?), and jack and sawyer were spot on too. i love sawyer sharing jack's view that they should never have left.

*Bows* thankyou, benevolent Queen! Heh, I figured Hurley should lighten the mood a little. Then season 3 ending, with Jack saying they had to go back, intrigued me to the point that it had to be in the story.

Hee, Sawyer's observation that it's his first plane crash, so he oughtta show up, is just so *him*. I love all the reunions, and I love the fact that some aspects of themselves -- Kate's nickname, for example -- were left behind on the island. Life's new now, and different. Jack with his sexy motorcycle makes me swoon, as does the fact that Sawyer just naturally climbs on it with him. He says they're going "back," and even if they really can't go back physically, they can go back to being together. To me, that's the perfect happy ending. :)
