today my friend Nicola lost her dearest mate, Jessie aka Killacat. she had to put her to sleep after her kidneys and liver failed. she was 16 years old and didn't have to suffer for long, which is a relief.

Why thanks a lot. She had a remarkable personality. Apart from being a rogue sometimes she was also sweet and cuddly - although never to pat. She loved to play "hide and seek" or "catch my fingers". If I was faster then she would punish me half an hour later when I was already sitting in a chair reading a book. If she tried to catch an insect and the insect was faster she would come to me and complain in a high voice. There are so many memories and stories...
Goodbye Jessie, sharpen your claws, wherever you are.

first of all: welcome to LJ, finally! :) i put you on my friends-list, so from now on you can read all entries of mine, even those work-rant-parts! LOL

yeah, i just read your more detailed mail. it is still so sad. i know she was an old lady, but like you said: a remarkable personality.
and one thing's for sure: she'll not be forgotten!
but in the end, i guess she was lucky to spend a great part of her life with you, who was accepting her as she was: not the average cuddly kitten.
i totally understand you don't want to think about getting another cat at the moment.

It might be a bit of a comfort to know she didn't have to suffer and that she probably had 16 pretty brilliant years making everybody jump to her orders ;-)
