Have been talking about The Sparrow with my spiritual director. I begin to see what kefiv meant when he commented, "If you want to understand me, start with Emilio Sandoz." That's a horrifying comment since Emilio has the flesh forcibly removed from his hands, sees all his friends die horrifically, and then is raped by an alien race

I love when you post, because it always makes me think. And I know you have been told this before, but if I ever really need a spiritual advisor, you would be the first person I would turn to. You may not feel the god moments all the time, but when I've been around you have embodied what I want to see in a person representing the divine.
