I've been thinking about trying to take some kind of independent study / conference course thing with Sandy Stone next semester, involving music and possibly circuit-bending. I think it's a great idea! Alternately, you could knit a cover for an existing synth, sort of like this project: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sharkseason/sets/1284255/

I have a friend who makes synths/parts at home. Maybe you could collaborate with him?

I could have an entire conglomeration of yarn/synth combinations...woah.

If I end up being able to do this, I should totally get in touch with your friend. I know a few people who have done related stuff who might be able to help, but I could always use more.
