AN: Please don't hunt me down and revoke my "writer's card." I promise there's a reason this chapter is so...dramatized. You can thank my boring Political Science class for this though. Who would have thought Oil would be such an inspiration to write...*scratches head*
Jill licked her lips as she watched Cindy’s head snap back against the door as Lindsay attacked her neck. As much fun as it was to watch, what she really wanted to do was play. Silently standing, she walked to the pair and wrapped her arms around Lindsay’s waist before pressing a quick kiss to the back of her neck.
“Cindy, I don’t know what you did this time, but if this is your punishment, feel free to piss her off on a daily basis.”
Jill barely had time to register the growl from Lindsay before she found herself against the wall beside the redhead and heard the distinctive “clink” of handcuffs being fastened and felt her arm being raised. She didn’t have to look to know that she had been handcuffed to her lover, and the chain link was resting on the coat hook on the back of the door.
Oh Shit. Maybe running interference wasn’t such a good idea, she thought briefly before Lindsay’s mouth found hers and she felt Cindy’s hand on her waist.
That idea returned however, when Lindsay pulled away from the pair and walked towards the desk. Sitting on the edge of it, she smirked.
“Which one of you though it was a good idea to get my ex-husband to watch Martha?”
“Oh my God! We’re back to Martha. Lindsay, forget your damn dog, get over here and finish fucking us!”
Jill almost laughed at Cindy’s outburst, but Lindsay’s look stopped her. She knew that look; she had seen it too many times before with the Kiss-Me-Not Killer. Cindy wouldn’t know it, but that was the look that meant Lindsay was at the verge of loosing control and breaking down.
“Baby, calm down. I’m sure Cindy didn’t think you would mind if Tom watched Martha for a few days. It’s just a co-worker watching your dog as a favor. Nothing more, nothing less.”
Jill had a nagging feeling that there was more to Lindsay’s reaction but she tried to push it away. Glaring at her, Lindsay walked up and unfastened the handcuffs.
“No,” she hissed, “It was not another co-worker. It was my ex-husband.”
“Lindsay, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean…” Cindy began, her lower lip quivering and un-shed tears becoming more prominent.
“Just stop.” Lindsay turned to go and Jill reached out for her arm, but Cindy’s next words stopped both of them in their tracks.
“Are you still in love with him?”
