White
Olivia felt such joy.
The sun was setting along the horizon, orange and purple floating across the sky like melted popsicles. Chessie was in her lap clapping as Emma twirled a sparkler in the air, flickers of white hot light shining in the darkening sky. Natalia was curled up at her side, looking up at her with that sweet dimpled smile and those playful eyes, dark like the richest chocolates.
Olivia was so happy.
Once Emma's firework burnt out, she ran over to the little white bucket full of cool water. She dipped it inside, making sure it was no longer smoldering. Quickly, Emma came back over and lay down the red and white checkered blanket on her belly, propping her head up in her hands. She looked over at her two mommies and sister, a smile spread across her face full of innocence and happiness.
The fireworks started booming in the sky, bursting colors against the black canvas of the night like a Jackson Pollock painting. They filled the sky with no rhyme, no reason, but they were no less beautiful.
Olivia smiled.
Natalia kissed her cheek gently, her lips soft, her breath warm against her skin. Olivia reached over and grabbed her hand, squeezing Natalia's love into her body, her soul.
****
Blue
Olivia felt such sorrow.
The moonlight drifted through the lacy white curtains, beaming through the darkness of their bedroom. Chessie was asleep in her crib, her diaper clean and her tummy full. Emma was cozy in bed, the nightlight flickering a warm, safe glow in her bedroom through the shadows of the night. Natalia was tucking in their daughter, reading a happy tale of childhood.
Olivia was so sad.
Last year, she was cold, alone. Natalia wasn't there.
The fireflies started buzzing in the sky, little white lights flickering against the black canvas of the night sky like Christmas. They filled the sky with no rhyme, no reason, but they were no less beautiful.
Olivia cried.
Natalia slipped into bed behind her, wrapping her small yet strong arms around her waist. Olivia reached down pulling Natalia even closer as she quietly sobbed, squeezing Natalia's love into her body, her soul.
***
Red
Olivia felt such ecstasy.
The love flowed between them, beaming through the darkness of their history, of their memories. They may have had a divided past, but they definitely had an united future. Their daughters and son were happy and healthy, safe and sound. They were happy and healthy, safe and sound. Natalia looked down at her, her grin mischievous and her eyes dark, seductive like the sweetest wine. She leaned down and kissed away Olivia's tears, her lips tender, her breath healing against Olivia's skin.
Olivia was passionate.
Slick with sweet sweat, they slid against each other. Thighs. Breasts. Lips. Every part was connected. Every part was tingling with their love, their desire. Harder. Faster. Deeper. Natalia slipped a hand down between them. Natalia slipped her fingers inside Olivia. Olivia had to fall apart only to be put back together again by Natalia.
The fireworks exploded behind Olivia's tightly shut eyes. Colors blasting across her vision, across her heart. She cried out against Natalia's damp neck, shuddering in her loving arms. Slowly, she opened her eyes to her lover. Natalia filled up her heart, her soul with no rhyme, no reason, but she was no less beautiful.
Olivia slept.
Natalia held her close, wrapping her arms around Olivia in a tight embrace. Olivia smiled, burrowing into Natalia further, squeezing Natalia's love into her body, her soul.
The End.
