Reaching for the sky...
I know it's a long way off, but in May 2011 Passion & Perfection will reach double digits when it celebrates its tenth birthday. There will be much cajoling and issuing of challenges nearer the time, but there is one thing I need to mention now, thirteen months before the fact.
In a bout of foolish optimism, I have set myself and the site a goal, and that is to have 10,000 stories on-site by our tenth birthday. That would mean that between now and May 2011 I would have to add 2,203 new stories, nearly double what I usually add in a given year.
Kind of implausible, I will admit, but not impossible.
So, if you know someone whose work is not archived on P&P, but who would be perfect for the site, give them a nudge in the right direction. If you run a community or list that doesn't have its own archive, then how about steering your femslash writing brethren P&P's way?
If you know of an author whose work was housed on a geocities or other defunct site, who hasn't got around to submitting their work elsewhere, again point them in P&P's direction (not only is it good for the birthday goal but I hate the thought of works being lost).
I have more examples but I'm sure you get the picture by now.
