A/N: The Canyonlands Series was inspired by my most recent trip to Moab. They are vignettes designed to enhance the Walking on Slick Rock series. In this one, the scenes in Moab were inspired by a conversation I had with a woman in an art gallery. The galleries mentioned in this piece do exist however the names of the shop keepers are completely fictional.

Summary: She tucked her long black hair behind her ears, showing off the silver hoops and the handmade choker she was wearing. “Watch me go play the only hand I’ve got. Do me a favor and wait a couple of minutes before coming in. I don’t want her thinking we’re together. You’ll see why.”
