A/N:It's been a while since I've done one of these. I'd forgotten what fun it is trying to capture everything you want to say in so very few words.
I'm also slightly surprised that I've not see anyone else write around the fact that Ruth bought a plant for her office just because Jamie told her to. And that entirely throwaway scene where she shows it off? Anyway, I'm in danger of writing more in the notes than in the drabble.
She hasn't left, yet. If she's honest with herself, and her profession usually forces that even at the worst moments, she's unlikely to leave tonight. After all, the place she calls home is nearly as sterile as the concrete and glass of her office, and she's already here.
If challenged, she'd claim to be making herself available for the team. Losing an agent is always traumatic, for all Jonas's platitudes. She knows, though, that the person whom she would most like to help has found another port in this storm.
In the dim light, Ruth watches her new plant grow.
