Well, I don't know if Veronica emasculated him as much as the CW.
I won't go into details about Weevil, because we haven't seen much of him so far, but he doesn't exactly screams "badass" to me at this point.
And Lamb ? Well, we haven't seen much of him either (*points at my icon*) but last time I checked he seemed a little nicer to Veronica, I mean, at least he's listening to her now.

Now, there's still Dick, but I'd say he's more of a "dumbass". So that doesn't really count.

About this week's episode : I liked it, it was a cute episode - and yes - I think the kiss at the end was hot, but you know what that means, right ?
Veronica and Logan kiss--> Veronica and Logan are together again --> Veronica and Logan break up again --> Logan is "sad sad sad" again --> *grabs the Prozac* :o))
How the hell did THAT happen ????
Wait ! Now that I'm finished, I take a look at JD's "sad sad sad" faces again and can't help but find them ridiculously funny.
