Russia! I don't quite understand what Mayfield has against it but I miss it very much.

I am Her Imperial Highness the Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna … but I suppose that Anastasia Nikolaevna or Anastasia will do in Mayfield, right? No one wants to say all that!

Neither do I. It's a bit cold at his house for me but Rusia is a good guy.

( ( Anastasia. . . that doesn't sound very familiar. He's trying to think of what he heard back at home. ) )

He's been acting strange lately … like one of the drones. [ sigh ] I wonder if that means he's finally gone home?

That's right. There's also my little brother Alexei now too. Say, what year was it before you came to Mayfield?

Is that why he and America are good friends now?

( ( Little brother. Spain's pretty sure he's never heard of a little prince. He would have remembered the embassies celebrating. ) )

It must be! Neither of them seemed to be terribly fond of each other.

1898…? I wasn't even born yet! [ a laugh ] It was 1914.

I didn't even know America had friends! Besides Cuba, I suppose.

Sí-- ah! That would explain it. Well, it's very nice to meet you so soon.

I've spoken to him once or twice. He's very interesting!

It's nice to meet you as well! I suppose this is one of the few nice things about Mayfield: you get to meet all sorts of people from all sorts of times and places.

He isn't that interesting. ( ( Mumble, mumble, okay maybe he was once upon a time mumble. ) )

True. But I'm afraid I owe a lot of birthday letters to a lot of people now. . .

Really? I thought he was funny! Though I don't think Russia would like the idea of me talking to him at all. Then again, he's no longer here but …

Do they take IOUs?

Oh, he does make people laugh. . .

No. Perhaps you should ask them! I'm sure they would understand if you explained the whole kidnapping thing.
